New beginnings, old secret’s, and a place to call home…

Viv arrives at Wildflower Cottage, a tumbledown animal sanctuary, for the summer. Her job is to help with the admin, but the truth is she is here for something much closer to her heart…

Geraldine runs to Wildflower Cottage sanctuary. She escapes from her past to find happiness here, but now her history at bay and her future safe?

Back home, Viv’s mother Stel thinks she might have found a man who will treat her right for once. Ian is kind considerate, and clearly head over heels for her. That’s what she wanted all along isn’t it…

My Review

The cover for this book is just perfect for the title, it’s nice, bright and cheerful colours used; which really pulls you in. The two lady’s in front of the cottage one carrying a basket of flowers and wearing funky wellies, with the other lady with her arm around her. They both look really happy, and a dog which sits proudly beside. It’s a fab cover!

We meet Viv as she is about to start a new job at the animal sanctuary for the summer. She is meant to be doing the admin but soon becomes involved with getting hands on with the array of animals from donkey’s, owls, birds, to cat’s and dog’s, that they have in their care. It also so becomes clear to Viv as she starts on the admin that the sanctuary is in a but of a mess.

The animal Sanctuary is run by Heath with the help from Gloria; how has a mystery about her, but then so does Viv. Viv seems to be running away from something which left me wanting to read on and wait as the story starts to unfold. Heath and Viv have a bit of a rocky relationship at the start. As they start to spent time together dealing with the animals, Viv realises heath is really not what she expected in a good way though.

Sunshine over Wildflower Cottage is not without ups, many laughs, downs, twists and turns which kept me very much into this story. I really enjoyed the short chapters making it a joy to read and before I knew it I was at the end of the book!!!!

Milly Johnson has a truly wonderful writing style and story telling that provides for the  perfect escapism! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the animal aspect of this book; being an animal lover myself that was a real plus!!!

So if you like animals and are looking for a lovely romance with the added mystery and many laughs then look no further. I really highly recommend it!!!!!
