My review

What a picture the front cover is! Wouldn’t you say? It’s so gorgeous, the range of pinks and red’s for the flowers that trail over the arch-way and is attached to a white trestle fence. A beautiful bride stand’s under the arch waiting to walk down the aisle of green grass. The green is a great colour for the whiteness of the author’s name, really making it stand out. As does the pale blueness’ of the sky with the pinkness of the title. All in all it has a lovely feel to it and is very eye-catching!

This book I had borrowed from a lovely friend of mine. (we often share books between us!) I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the other Chocolate Lovers’ Club books; so had no knowledge of the characters, which you’d think would be a problem… but it’s really not!! Carole explains all the reader need’s to know throughout the book in a very charming way.

The story is based around four lady’s Lucy, Nadia, Autumn and Chantal. They all came together though the love of chocolate and started up their very own Chocolate Lovers’ Club. Where they came together to chat and most importantly eat chocolate. With it being held at Chocolate Heaven until recently and now they are floating around other cafe’s but they just don’t cut it.

Lucy can’t seem to hold down a job, and with her impending wedding to Aiden. She used to have her perfect job at Chocolate Heaven until her ex fiancé  Marcus purchase it, in a bid to try to win her back. She finds herself jobless again, and Marcus offers her old job back, with a pretty hefty raise… but will Aiden be comfortable with that? and will she make it down the aisle?

Nadia, is a single mother and is trying to come to terms with her husband’s death as well as juggling work, home life and childcare. Nadia meet a nice fella on a website but he lives all the way in the Lake District. She has the great support of her friends to help her through but is that enough? All she want’s is for her and her son to be happy, but will she get her own happy-ever-after?

Autumn, has really had it tough, falling pregnant at an early age and her parent’s making her give her baby up. She not only has the support of her lady’s but also her lovely man Miles; who has a gorgeous little girl and they really get her through. Now she is back in contact with her now teenage daughter, autumn wants to explain and build a relationship with her. But will her daughter want to hear what she has to say?

Chantal, is the one of the lady’s that I thought was the wise, she is going through a divorce which seems to be taking its toll on her. Having a small baby to look after but has her new bloke Jacob; who is kind and very supportive. But he is very concerned with her decline in health. Has Chantal got something to be worried about?

These lady’s are all individual and all have a charm about them, but no matter what they are all there for each other through some pretty tough times. Showing sisterhood at its best! I adored this book, and will say to have a tissue at hand there’s some eye dabbing moments in this story. Also make sure you have some chocolate to hand because you will need it with all the amazing chocolate treats described in the story!!!!!

The story has a very pleasant flow so much so I found myself at the end of the book before I know it! So as you can probably guess I thoughly enjoyed this book very much and would highly recommend The Chocolate Lovers’ Wedding by Carole Mathews. I will certainly be looking out for more of her books in the future.
