My Review

life's little pleasures by jeff shortThe pastel colours used on this front cover have a calming feel to it. With the orange strip going down the book spine, the yellow backing and the reds, pink’s, darker shade of yellow and oranges used for the tulips and the green stems. The first half of the title ‘Life’s Little’ is in a smaller font and coloured in grey. The second half ‘Pleasures’ is in a bigger font then the beginning and is coloured in blue; this really puts the emphasize on the ‘Pleasures’!

Life’s Little Pleasure’s by Jeffrey E Short is a cute little pocket size book, full of life’s little pleasures; from having sole control of the TV remote, clean sheets, hearing corn swishing in the field on a summers day to doing something kind for someone and many more.

It’s a very simple book and some might think it pretty pointless but I have to say for me personally it did make me go ‘Oh yah’ and was a gentle reminder to appreciated those things. In this busy day and age we often forget the little things in life we should be appreciating and this book is good for reminding you of that. As it small it’s quick to read too! This very small book really made me look at all the little things I maybe take for granted and made me appreciated those small pleasures in life!
