My Review

Firstly I would like to thank Faye from Athoright and Clink Street Publishing for not just being patent  with me and waiting so long for my review by for kindly sending me a paperback review copy.

Lost in Vegas by Ian Jones is book one in a series.

We meet John Smith, an English guy, very single and is an ex-Special Forces. Now though he work only alone taking on private job’s. John gets a call from business man Richard Cromwell who has a job for him knowing he is the man for the job. Richard runs two business; which links him with people in Vegas, only things have got a bit out of hand and now he’s daughter may have got caught up in. Richards dealing seem to have gone sour in Vegas after his associate handed the rains over to his brutal son Pablo. His precious daughter Abby had gone missing in Vegas so Richard sent out his trusted friend Thomas to take care of things, smooth things over with his business associates and bring back his daughter , only things haven’t gone to well and now he has also gone. Richard needs John’s full discretion as his business dealing are not quite legit.

John decides to take the job on and bring back Richards daughter home to her family. On his arrival to Vegas he takes in every detail of his surroundings and starts digging for information on Pablo; only to find out that he is a nasty and ruthless man who spends his cash like its going out of fashion and owes a lot to boot! John knows there is a link between Pablo and Abby… But what? Where is she and who is she with? Is she safe? Is she with Thomas? or has Pablo got her somewhere? Is Abby even still alive?

Lost in Vegas by Ian Jones  is a thrilling story with plenty of action and has a fantastic story line. I really got the sense of John’s methodical nature when dealing with his job; which I fond kept me captivated through the whole book. But I also got the sense that even though he is ruthless in getting his job completed he still doesn’t want any one to get hurt.

This book has fantastic description which enhanced the action bits and  it was almost like I was watching a movie while I read. It is certainly a gripping read that I highly recommend. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
